Born in 1875, worked in Berlin as a painter, graphic designer and book illustrator. During the World War One, he was a military painter in Macedonia and France. His book “My War Diary 1914-1918” which was a collection of 81 original watercolors, ink and pencil drawings from Macedonia and France (Dojran, Monastir, Bourlon, Thun, Mariquette…) was sold by the auction house Wendl in Rudolstadt/Thurlingen Germany in March 2007 ( catalogue number 3913) for 220 euro.
